Dr. Anju Chazot

Founder and Director, Mahatma Gandhi International School

Dr. Anju Chazot is the founder of the Mahatma Gandhi International School (MGIS) established in 1998 under the trust of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. She teaches Languages, Theatre, and Philosophy at MGIS. She has a Doctorate in Education (Teacher Training) from King’s College, London, a Masters in Sciences of Education from the University of Paris, a degree in Linguistics from the University of Strasbourg, and a Masters in English Literature from Gujarat University. She has created Generated Resources Learning (GRL), an innovative, joyful, and multi-sensorial pedagogy, the subject of her Doctoral thesis.

Anju has over 25 years of experience in innovative teaching, conducting parenting workshops, teacher training, and conferences across India, France, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, Russia, and Australia.  She is working with CBSE, NCERT, and GCERT for curriculum development, textbooks, policy formulation, and teacher training. Currently, she is an expert member for Toy-based pedagogy and the Holistic Progress card national committees constituted by the Ministry of Education.

A published author and columnist, she received the Civil Society Award by the Election Commission of India by former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. She is developing a curriculum for the expansion of human consciousness through science and spirituality in school education, for well-being and empowerment.
