Mr. Himmat S. Dhillon is passionate about literature, travel, exploring culture, writing, nature, and swimming. He was handpicked by the Board of Governors to lead The Lawrence School, Sanawar as he has the experience, expertise, and the drive to lead The Lawrence School, Sanawar onward towards excellence.

Mr. Himmat Dhillon was previously Principal  & CEO of GEMS Our Own English High School, Fujairah since 2014. Prior to this, he was the Principal of The Gandhi School, Jakarta, Indonesia from 2008 to 2013.

Mr. Dhillon, an alumnus of The Lawrence School, Sanawar was formerly Head of Department of English at The Doon School, Dehradun.

Mr. Dhillon has a knack for positive transformation and is a multi-faceted personality, he has been a contributor to numerous projects and initiatives that have collected accolades for the institutions that he has served as a leader. As Housemaster of Oberoi House, the students of Oberoi House distinguished themselves by winning ‘The Doon School Cup’ three years in a row under his stewardship. ‘The Doon School Cup’ is a cup that is presented as recognition of all-around achievement and is awarded to the House that has shown excellent results in academics, extracurricular activities, as well as in sports.

He enables initiatives that empower children to excel academically and also encourages them constantly to shine in co-curricular and sporting activities alongside. He promotes leadership at all levels, of both students and staff members, and creates an environment that encourages their all-around excellence and holistic development. He is passionate in his endeavors to encourage students to showcase their talents, skills, and gifts as the leaders of tomorrow.

Apart from being associated with the best of elite residential schools, he has worked as an Editor with Harper Collins and provided Technical Assistance as a Media & Communication Consultant through W. S Atkins to the European Union Funded Doon Valley Integrated Watershed Management Project.
