Urvashi Warman

Urvashi Warman is associated with the field of education for three decades. She commenced her career as a Montessori teacher and has had the good fortune of teaching students of all age groups during her career. A passionate teacher, she has always taken her vocation to be the driving force of her life. She strongly believes that true education is gained beyond textbooks and it is imperative to connect the child with his immediate environment.

A published author, Urvashi Warman has written a series of EVS and General Awareness books for primary school children.

Her recently published book – The Camel With A Japi has received a letter of commendation by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Education Minister, GoI. It is written under the initiative of Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat and celebrates the glorious heterogeneity of our country.

A strong advocate of inclusive education, she has been instrumental in opening the first Multidisciplinary cell in her school that caters to the students with special needs. Magic Pie, the SEN cell within the school, has special educators, an Occupational Therapist, and a Speech Therapist who ensure that the school environment is sensitive towards inclusion. One of her favourite quotes that have inspired her as an educator is that of Louis Pasteur, French Chemist, and Microbiologist

“When I approach a child, he inspires in me two sentiments−tenderness for what he is and respect for what he may become.”

A CBSE trainer and pedagogical leader, she feels that with the advent of NEP2020, the world of education is at its most dynamic stage and is sure to revolutionize the teaching-learning scenario completely.
