Vikramjit Singh Rooprai

Heritage Activist, Author and Educator | Founder, Heritageshaala

Vikramjit Singh Rooprai is an Educator, Author, and Historian, who left his 14 yearlong IT career to turn into a Teacher Trainer. He established Heritageshaala to set up Heritage Labs in schools, where students are taught routine subjects through liberal arts and by using examples from History. His creative card and board games are popular amongst the participants of his programs.

He is a 5 times TEDx speaker and a consultant to many Govt and Non-Govt organizations. He is currently a visiting faculty member at the National Institute of Fashion Technology and is also associated with various school groups, helping them refine their curriculum and pedagogy. In past, he has served as a heritage auditor for UNESCO and Aga Khan Trust for Culture. He has also served as Teacher Skill Auditor for the Education Quality Foundation of India.

Vikramjit has been featured on several major national and international media platforms. He was listed by India Today Magazine in their annual feature celebrating all changemakers of Delhi. Hindustan Times & Outlook Traveller ranked his portal on Delhi’s monuments and his Twitter/Instagram handle in the top 10 sources on Delhi’s Heritage. Times Now and Economic times titled him as a Good Crusader and featured him in their series of Whistle-blowers.
